Creating the ultimate girly bedroom isn’t as difficult as you might think. If you’re unsure of how to decorate your daughter’s bedroom, we have put together our 5 top tips to create the ultimate girly bedroom. It’s time to get planning and get creative!
Pick a theme
Whether your child is obsessed with unicorns, LOL Dolls, pink in general or even the new craze of Tiktok, you can find the perfect way to incorporate their passion into their bedroom. Have a search online and you will be able to find the perfect bedding and accessories to make a feature in their brand new girly bedroom.
Work with your kids to pick a theme that you both love. It’s important to remember that this theme needs to last them a few years otherwise you’ll be redecorating on a regular basis.
Keep things neutral
If you invest in sleek and neutral bedroom furniture and wall colours you can bring in colours and designs through soft furnishings such as duvet covers, throws, cushions and curtains.
A sleek white bed frame is incredibly versatile and will go with every girly bedroom design imaginable. We love our white Nordic playhouse bedframe which can be decorated to create the ultimate girly playhouse in the comfort of their bedroom.
Go dotty
Polka dots and pom poms are a great way to bring a girly vibe into your little girls bedroom. They’re soft on the eye but also help to create a big feature. You can think about adding polka dot decals to the wall (simply stick onto paint), going crazy with pompom decorations which are huge at the minute or even make some cute pompom garlands to hand around the room.
Pompoms are easy to make and would make a great activity to complete with your daughter. It will also be something they know they made in their bedroom and help add an element of pride to their bedroom.
Create space
To maximise the space in their bedroom you might want to consider investing in a mid or a high sleeper to maximise floor space and available storage. Mid sleepers and high sleepers that incorporate essential storage and furniture reduce the need for additional furniture in your kids bedrooms. Meaning you can optimise how your kids use their room and incorporate more functional space whatever that need may be.
They might be able to play in their bedroom more and let you have a little bit of me time once in a while in the living room.
Bring happiness
It is important to create a bedroom that your daughter loves rather than just follow a trend. Have a look online together at ideas and see what she likes and doesn’t like, that way you know you are investing in decor that she will enjoy rather than just following a trend.
